The unique blend of classic French bistro atmosphere, fine Baden and Mediterranean cuisine, great wines and informal company has been attracting connoisseurs to the LE BISTRO restaurant since 1990.

It has been a long way from the simple goulash soup that made up the culinary offering in the early days in 1981 to today's sophisticated cuisine.

Michael Hertweck took over LE BISTRO in 1990 and in 1998 the small LE BISTRO was extended and extensively remodeled.

The philosophy at Michael Hertweck's LE BISTRO is: regional products, seasonal and fresh, where quality is non-negotiable. He is a passionate host and loves the consistency of quality, but also the changing times. Healthy and tasty cuisine is an important topic for him.

Game dishes are the specialty of the house.

Michael Hertweck is a passionate hunter. He either hunts the game himself in local forests or buys it in first-class quality from his trusted butcher. Game Bolognese or game sausages are just as much a bistro classic as the homemade game ravioli. Juicy grilled steaks and delicious desserts and cakes from the bistro's own patisserie round off the varied menu.

Together with his wife Claudia Fabbri, who is responsible for Marketing & PR at Le Bistro, Michael Hertweck is constantly working on new ideas with the aim of making a visit to LE BISTRO a special and enjoyable experience.

The host couple and the whole team look forward to welcoming their guests with professionalism and smiles à la carte in the LE BISTRO restaurant.

With years of experience under their belts, our chefs have worked to offer local flavors with a unique culinary experience that delights tasters near and far. With a focus on down-to-earth, Baden-Alsatian cuisine and game dishes from local hunts and our own manufactory, our guests are spoiled in a cozy atmosphere.

Our head chef CAN KORKMAZ combines creativity with craftsmanship and focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients. This results in dishes that combine tradition and modernity and delight our guests with sophisticated regional and Mediterranean cuisine.
